TAPPA Listserv Rules & Guidelines |
The purpose of the TAPPA listserv is to share information and provide an opportunity to network with peers in the Physical Plant profession across the state. To ensure the best possible experience for all listserv members, we have established basic rules & guidelines for participation. Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these important guidelines. TAPPA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership on all lists for members who violate these rules. ContentThe listserv is provided as a service of TAPPA. The Association is not responsible for the opinions and information posted on the site by others. Messages sent to the listserv should pertain to the TAPPA listserv. Please do not send messages to the listserv that are not related to a Physical Plant issue or that are not respectful of TAPPA’s mission. Listserv postings are not permitted to be forwarded to anyone outside of the subscribed users. Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. Messages that encourage or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: prices, discounts, terms or conditions of sale, salaries, profits, market shares, sales territories, allocation of customers, selection, rejection, advertising, or termination of customers or suppliers. Do not send administrative emails (such as “remove me from the list”) to the entire listserv. Instead, contact TAPPA at info@tappa.net. Think about your AudienceOnly send a message to the entire list when it contains information that everyone may find beneficial. Please consider whether your post will add to the discussion in an informative way that will be of value to others, or whether it is best to send it privately. Please refrain from posting “thank you,” “me too”, or personal comments that are directed only to the individual who sent the email. If you want to reply only to the person who sent the message, copy and paste their email address and forward the email reply. Use the subject lineMake the subject line descriptive so that recipients have a flavor of the message from glancing at the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject. Include your Name, Organization, and EmailIt is good practice to include a few lines at the end of your message indicating your name, organization, and email address. SearchingTo search for past listserv topics, use the process below:
